From your Day of Prayer and Vision Journal (or your notes), make a list
of personal and ministry goals you have sensed that the Lord wants you
to accomplish. Some will be long-range and others more immediate. In some
cases, developing this list may involve others (your ministry team, your
spouse - someone with whom you work closely).
Personal
Long range goals for growth and development
Write a brief statement about the future roles and responsibilities
in which you believe God would like you to be engaged. Try to look 3-5
years into the future. Then list some specific objectives necessary
to achieve these goals, especially thinking about the year immediately
ahead of you.
Develop working objectives for your growth and development
Based on your current personal profile and your long range plans, prioritize
the specific objectives that you wish to accomplish during this coming
year.
For each objective, follow these three steps:
Re-state the objective.
Be as concise and specific as possible, making sure you have stated
the objective in a way that is reasonably attainable and measurable.
Means of accomplishment.
Describe the steps you plan
to take during the year to accomplish each objective.
Means of evaluation.
Describe how you will evaluate the extent to which you have accomplished
each objective.
Develop the criteria you will use to measure movement towards your objective.

Develop working objectives for the growth and development of yourself
and your ministry
Based on your current personal profile and your long range plans, prioritize

and measurable.
Means of accomplishment.
Describe the steps you plan to take during the
year to accomplish each objective.
Resources needed.
Develop a list of resources (people, expertise, finances, relationships)
that are necessary to implement the goal.
Means of evaluation.
Describe how you will evaluate the extent to which you have accomplished each objective.
Develop the criteria you will use to measure movement towards your objective.
Sharing these ideas and plans with your ministry coach and growth partner
will help clarify and hone your goals and plans for this year. Before
you produce the “finished product” make sure to get input
from them and others with whom you work and live.
