TEAM desires godly leaders whose leadership is characterized by:

Character

servant leadership

A leader models servanthood by wisely caring for and nurturing others in personal development, and serves the organization in humility; the leader models this value by identifying and empowering others to grow and accept servant-leadership responsibility for the organization and people within it.

spiritual vitality

A leader’s spiritual vitality flows from a practice of deep communion with God within the soul, from consistent immersion in and submission to the Word of God, from character formed by God in the crucible of a life of faith, and from a passion to impart this life-treasure to others.

developmental mindset

A leader views all relationships and tasks from a developmental mindset: continually seeking to grow, and to stimulate growth in others. A leader consistently identifies and develops new leaders who can continue the cycle by developing others.

Calling

contagious vision

A leader sees the big picture and inspiringly imparts a vision along with a clearly articulated common sense strategy to achieve it.

inter-cultural intentionality

A leader embraces the rich heritage found in other cultures by promoting the learning of language and appropriate social mores in order to be a model of sensitive and collaborative bridge building to God and between foreign cultures and organizations.

Competence

relational skill

A leader continually develops self-awareness and other-awareness in order to relate both with professional skill and deep personal sensitivity to the people that comprise their sphere of responsibility so that an economy of trust thoroughly permeates the varied dimensions of working relationships.

effective communication

A leader communicates with proficiency, understanding and skill to people at all levels within and without the organization so as to satisfy needs for personal connectivity and information.

strategic focus

A leader inspires and guides teammates by coaching, counseling, and supervising them to contribute their best effort in accomplishing the collective vision.

physical and emotional health

A leader maintains and models a balanced life style for those they lead. They have their physical and emotional health evaluated at regular intervals by competent professionals and follow the recommendations for change.

Compatibility

organizational identification

A leader values inwardly and portrays outwardly the unique story and purpose of the organization, enabling each member to find meaning, significance and fulfillment in belonging to it.
