Resource Management Consultants

Resource Management Consultants, William P. Dillon, President, Box 1810, Des Plaines, IL  60017, 708-635-8902.

Bill Dillon is the same “Bill” who wrote the book, People Raising, described above.  Bill offers his services training groups and he also has a video series.  I’ve viewed the videos, and it basically is a “talking head” (Bill is the primary presenter), and he goes through much of what is in his book.

Kingdom Come Training

Kingdom Come Training, 13640 SE Highway 212 #107, Clackamas, OR  97015, 503-314-7211,,

Jerry either comes to a given location or can connect with individuals using his equipment and software.  He appears to emphasize church relationships as well as individual contact.  He indicates that his training can enable a person to get support in 8-10 months.

Body Builders Bootcamp

Body Builders Bootcamp, PO Box 3556, Fayetteville, AR  72702, 800-595-4881,

This workshop is modestly priced and relatively short (2 days).  It uses very engaging teaching methods, and it encourages each attendee to get Scott Morton’s book.  They emphasize the one-on-one approach to contacting people to share the missionary vision, and they heavily emphasize the use of a mentor from the local church.  This workshop is very practical, inspirational, and helpful, but it offers no ongoing coaching.  The main emphasis is on contacting individuals, and it offers little on how to approach churches.

Resources for Fund Raising

There are a number of books that have been written to help people assemble a support team.  Below are those with which I am familiar:

10. Caring for those who serve

Steve Dresselhaus passed on this information about a seminar for church personnel on how to care well for MK’s and their families: “This fall Interaction International will host a one-day seminar on missionary kids (MKs) and missionary families called Caring for Those Who Serve. It is designed for church personnel and all those who want to learn more about how to care well for their TCK families. The seminar will be held at College Church in Wheaton, IL and will provide information, practical help and valuable resources that will enable participants to better understand and meet the needs of the children and adults they care about or are responsible for.” For more information, contact Janet Blomberg of Interaction International.
